When you lose towers, your phone shows a satellite indicator once connected. Texts can take a minute or two each way over satellite — send your question and keep the phone with a view of the sky.
Location: Name a place in your question ("at Sahale Glacier camp") or send coordinates as @lat,lon. Relay geocodes place names and remembers your location for follow-ups.
